I spent the morning chasing birds at the Hayward Shoreline Interpretive
Center in Hayward, Calif. There were a number of different species
preset, including the American Avocet:
Also present was the ubiquitous egret:
Forster's terns were in abundance, hunting for fish:
There were also long-billed curlews, which were scouring the mud for crabs:

I'm fortunate to live only a few minutes away from the shoreline and to have so many species of birds around to photograph.
