I've been pretty busy the last few weeks.
I FINALLY cut over my web site to Zenfolio. I've been using their service for a while, but it wasn't until last week that I finished building out my site. The address is the same -- it's just hosted by Zenfolio: www.kwongphotography.com.
Last weekend I spent Sunday with the Lbos, who pulled out a critical victory to secure their spot in the playoffs.
Yesterday, I went back to the Las Gallinas Wildlife Ponds and spend
the morning chasing an egret. The highlight of the day was capturing
the egret as it caught breakfast in the pond.
I ended the weekend by shooting the Liga Mexico Soccer League in Union City, Calif.
As a side note, I'd like to share a related story this weekend, along with a tip. While I was at the Las Gallinas Wildlife Ponds, an ederly gentleman kept trying to engage me in conversation while I was shooting. I politely thanked him for the information he was trying to give me about birds and continued to pursue the egret I had been following all morning.
The man was quite put-off that I didn't want to talk to him, so I thought I would give a word of advice to those of you who approach a working photographer: working photographers are usually out in the field to make pictures and not carry on conversations. It's not that they don't want to talk to people, but they probably don't want to be disturbed, especially when they're taking advantage of the golden-hour light of the morning or evening. Most photographers are willing to talk to people and even trade tips about their subject matter and photography, but only AFTER they've finished shooting.

A Busy Weekend 02-16-16
I had a busy Valentine's Day weekend.
I spent the rest of the morning chasing egrets around the various ponds.
The mist was so thick it was difficult to make a clear shot for the first few hours of the morning. Eventually, the mist and fog lifted, giving way to some great light.
Sunday morning I followed my normal routine, photographing the Lobos FC in Union City.
Variety is truly the spice of life and I am blessed to have the opportunity to photograph such a wide range of exciting subjects.
I started out at the Las Gallinas Wildlife Pond in San Rafael, Calif. on Saturday morning. The sunrise was spectacular!
